Our mission is reaching as many people as possible for God's Kingdom by sharing the Gospel using every modern means of communication available — throughout our community, our country, and the world. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15)

10 Ways to Have Great Gospel Conversations

Practical, biblical steps to help you share your faith with confidence and clarity.

1

Share your God story

Have conversations sharing your testimony with others. Sharing Jesus is your responsibility and privilege. You know your story better than anyone so share it with confidence.

2

Your job is to share, not convert

Remember that it's not your job to convert. God's job is to convert. You do your job and let God do His. Share your faith in Jesus with confidence through great Gospel conversations.

3

Be intentional with Gospel conversations

Make time for intentional conversations sharing the Gospel message. Speak to the individual not at the individual. Let them know you have a sincere interest in them and you care about them.

4

Ask good questions and listen

Be intentional and listen to people. A great way to get into a gospel conversation is based upon asking good questions. Ask questions and listen.

5

Engage with unbelievers

Make time to have intentional conversations with unbelievers. Make relationships with those who are far from God. Avoiding unbelievers is not our call. We are to engage with them.

6

Pray for lost people by name

Being an effective witness for Jesus starts with prayer. Expect and rely upon God to use you. Pray for lost people and ask God to use you to share Jesus with them.

7

It's okay to say "I don't know"

Sometimes people ask questions you may not know the answer to. Just say, "I'll check on that for you." Then get back to the core Gospel message. Don't make up stuff.

8

Share truth, not opinions

Be intentional with not sharing your opinions instead of biblical truths. We need to base our claims about Jesus upon truth. The resurrection is real; therefore, we believe it.

9

Always talk about the resurrection

The resurrection of Jesus is the linchpin of our faith. Without the resurrection, Jesus is just another man crucified by Roman soldiers. Always include the resurrection when sharing the Gospel.

10

Encourage unbelievers to believe

Don't share the Gospel and then not encourage someone to turn from their sin and put their trust in Jesus. Assume they don't know what to do after hearing the Gospel and tell them of their need to turn and trust.

The mission includes you.

Whether you're stepping into faith for the first time or stepping out in bold obedience, there's a place for you.
